Welcome to Partners in Jewish Life

Uniting Jewish communities through our shared Jewish heritage to increase Jewish knowledge that will transform attitudes and impact behavior for a better Jewish future in the Diaspora and Israel.
OUR MISSION
Partners in Jewish Life (“PJL” or “Partners”) is a global non-profit established to build unity within Jewish communities through peer-to-peer learning programs that focus on Jewish texts based on our shared Jewish values. The program brings together Jews of all backgrounds and facilitates new relationships built upon the spirit of friendship and respect. A united Jewish community can begin to think differently about innovative ways to work together to shape a common destiny and collaborate to achieve a better Jewish future in the Diaspora and Israel.

OUR HISTORY
This initiative is built upon the success of the Partners Detroit program that successfully developed the in-person “across the table” model for weekly peer-to-peer learning. Each week hundreds of study partners commit to one another for a weekly study session. To scale the program to other Jewish communities, the Detroit model was launched as PJL, a global initiative developed as a multilateral partnership between the State of Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, major donors, and philanthropic foundations. At one stage of development, PJL was a Momentum Unlimited subsidiary. We thank the Momentum board of directors for believing in the vision and its financial investment. We will always be grateful for their support and commitment to Jewish unity.
